2019 Holiday Events on 30A

When spending the holidays on 30A, the question is not, “What is there to do?” but “Where should I start?” This region of beautiful beach communities comes alive in December with lights, music, festivals, and more than one appearance from Santa. No matter how much of the holiday season you plan to spend here, you’ll find events to make any season special. Here are a few of our favorites:

Café Thirty-A Charity Christmas Ball

On Friday, December 6th, make your way to Santa Rosa Beach’s Café Thirty-A for their annual charity Christmas ball. As soon as you walk in the door, you’ll be treated to a glass of champagne to set the tone. Hors d’oeuvres will be shared in addition to a full buffet, live music, and a great opportunity to dress up, dance, and have fun. The proceeds for the event go to Caring and Sharing of South Walton, an organization dedicated to helping local families in need.

The Merry Little Christmas Concert

Looking for another opportunity to give this holiday season? Every December, The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast hosts the “Merry Little Christmas Concert” as a charity fundraiser. This year, a portion of the proceeds go to benefit The Boys and Girls Clubs of Bay County in order to help offer relief to those affected by last year’s Hurricane Michael. You can find the concert at The South Walton Club on Thursday, December 20. You’ll hear holiday favorites from several local musicians and enjoy refreshments provided for guests.

Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)

Looking for some laughs and live theater to round out your holiday season? The REP Theatre’s holiday comedy favorite “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” is back for the tenth year in a row. It packs all the Christmas favorites — A Christmas Carol, The Night Before Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and so much more — into one 40 minute production that’s nearly manic in its humor. It’s a hilarious night out and a chance to relieve some of the holiday stress. Best of all, it’s free, at North Barrett Square at Rosemary Beach!

Baytowne On Ice

Few people think of 30A when they think of ice skating, but this is a holiday tradition that you don’t have to miss by spending your holidays here in 30A. At The Village of Baytowne Wharf, you can find a seasonal ice skating rink open through February. Bring the kids or other loved ones for a 90-minute skating session and a chance to really get into the holiday spirit.
