Spending The Holidays on 30A

While some might say that it’s not Christmas without any snow, visitors to the 30A area of Florida know how cheerful and bright Christmas at the beach can be. The holidays are a great time of year to rent a beach bonfire and join your friends and family on the beach to celebrate Christmas Eve or ring in the new year. And there are even more fun activities to enjoy on 30A this Christmas season. Here are a few of our favorites:

Go Ice Skating

Just because it’s Florida doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the holiday tradition of ice skating. Take a trip to The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin. There you’ll find Baytowne Ice Rink, a seasonal ice skating rink open through February 2, 2020. It’s just $11 for 90 minutes of skating, and it’s the perfect event for the family. The first hour of skating, in fact, is specifically reserved for kids 12 and under.

Enjoy a Warm Beverage

The holidays are the perfect time of year to cup your hands around a warm mug and sip hot cocoa, warm tea, or your favorite coffee. And there are plenty of places to do that on 30A. In Rosemary Beach, there’s Amavida Coffee and Tea, offering fair trade and sustainable coffee, loose leaf tea, and snacks to compliment your drink. 30A Songwriter Radio in Santa Rosa Beach is a spot that feels as cozy as the drinks itself, and it’s perfect for music lovers as well as coffee drinkers. Donut Hole Bakery Cafe in Inlet Beach combines the familiarity and comfort food of a diner with the sweet tooth indulgence of a bakery — and the coffee and hot chocolate are also something to be praised.

See Some Christmas Lights

There doesn’t have to be snow on the ground to enjoy a beautiful Christmas light show, and you can find them along highway 30A as well as you can throughout the rest of the country. In many 30A beach communities, you can find unique displays of Christmas lights. Alys Beach has a 30 foot tall Christmas tree in the center of the amphitheater covered in bright, colorful lights, and Seaside has another tree of similar height in the center of their amphitheater. In Rosemary Beach, you’ll find oak trees covered in Christmas lights as well as a decked out spruce tree near town hall. Baytowne Wharf has a famous family friendly light show over the lagoon all through December, accompanied by cheery Christmas music.

There’s no reason to choose one over the other. Why not try it all while spending the holidays on 30A? When it comes to celebrating on the beach, Bonfires at the Beach 30A can help with our wide variety of beach bonfire packages to fit your budget and your party. Even our most basic package comes with setup and cleanup as well as a legal permit from the county. Want to learn more or rent your own beach bonfire? Call us today to get started: (850) 308-1013!
